Newhall, CA (April 26, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision northbound on Interstate 5 near Lake Hughes Road resulted in injuries and significant traffic delays Friday evening, April 25, in Newhall. California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 7:19 p.m. after a black Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck collided with a gray Toyota Prius. The impact pushed one vehicle into a nearby streetlight pole, causing additional roadway hazards. CHP officials reported that both drivers sustained minor injuries. They received immediate first aid on-site from paramedics, and no hospital transports were necessary. Crews worked diligently to clear the debris and damaged vehicles.
