Oceanside, CA – Four-Vehicle Collision on I-5 N/ia De La Valle Causes Injuries
Oceanside, CA (April 18, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident involving at least four vehicles caused injuries and major traffic disruption on Friday afternoon, April 18, along Interstate 5 North, just north of Via De La Valle in Oceanside. The crash occurred shortly after 12:40 p.m. in the fast lanes of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. A red Nissan SUV, a black Nissan Altima, a white Jeep, and a fourth unidentified vehicle were all involved.
First responders from the Oceanside Fire Department and CHP San Diego Division arrived at the scene to assist the injured. Two people were evaluated on-site, with one person transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care. Witnesses reported that one of the vehicles had been traveling too fast just before the crash occurred. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. CHP is asking any drivers with dashcam footage to come forward.
