Oceanside, CA – Injury Crash on I-5 N at Poinsettia Aviara Exit
Oceanside, CA (April 6, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash occurred on the morning of April 6 on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Poinsettia Aviara Exit, resulting in major injuries. The collision involved a Honda HR-V and a four-door sedan. Upon arrival, California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that the Honda HR-V was severely damaged, and the driver of that vehicle sustained injuries.
Emergency responders quickly assessed the situation and transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. The sedan also sustained damage, but the occupants of that vehicle appeared to have less severe injuries. The incident blocked one of the slow lanes, causing traffic hazards for commuters. A tow truck was dispatched to remove the vehicles from the scene, and the road was cleared shortly thereafter. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, and the identities of those involved have not been released.
Our thoughts are with the victims, and we hope for a swift recovery for those injured in this incident.
