Oceanside, CA – Police Motorcycle Officer Hurt in Crash on I-5 at SR76
Oceanside, CA (February 18, 2025) – A motorcycle officer from the Oceanside Police Department sustained injuries in a collision with a vehicle on Monday morning, February 17. The crash occurred around 9:43 a.m. on the Interstate 5 connector leading to eastbound State Route 76. Authorities reported that the officer had just completed a detail and was en route back to the department when the accident happened. Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene and transported the injured officer to a local hospital.
Officials have confirmed that the officer is expected to recover. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators. No additional injuries were reported. The accident temporarily blocked traffic on the connector ramp, but the roadway has since been cleared, according to Caltrans.
