Oceanside, CA – Two-Car Wreck on I-5 Leaves One Injured Near South Oceanside

Oceanside, CA (April 23, 2025) – A traffic collision involving two vehicles occurred along southbound I-5 in Oceanside during the late afternoon hours of April 23. The incident occurred near the South Oceanside exit and resulted in an injury. California Highway Patrol (CHP) units were dispatched to the scene around 5:25 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving a white Hyundai Santa Cruz and a tan Toyota Camry. According to preliminary findings, both vehicles sustained moderate damage, with debris scattered across the freeway’s active lanes. Emergency medical services responded to assess those involved in the crash. One person sustained injuries and was treated on-site before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
