Oceanside, CA – Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near SR-78 Con.

Oceanside, CA (April 30, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash occurred on April 30 around 3:15 p.m. on I-5 North near the State Route 78 East connector in Oceanside, resulting in injuries to at least two individuals.

The California Highway Patrol reported that a white Toyota Tacoma and a maroon Mazda SUV collided in the northbound lanes, prompting a rapid emergency response. Paramedics and officers arrived on the scene shortly after the crash was reported.

The victims were given first aid at the scene, and one person was transported to a local hospital with injuries believed to be moderate. The condition of the other occupant is yet to be confirmed. The CHP has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
