Oceanside, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Aliso Creek Rest Area Leaves Injuries
Oceanside, CA (April 4, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision occurred Friday, April 4, on the southbound Interstate 5 near the Aliso Creek Rest Area, leaving one woman injured and temporarily trapped inside her car. The crash involved a gray Honda sedan and an unknown SUV. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the impact caused one of the vehicles to overturn before striking the other. The woman in the Honda reported that her car had landed on its wheels, but the door was jammed, and she could not exit the vehicle.
CHP Unit 92-3 arrived at the scene, and a tow truck with a cable was dispatched to assist. Emergency crews were able to help the woman exit the vehicle safely, and she received on-site evaluation for injuries, though the extent remains unclear. CHP officers are continuing their investigation into the events that led to the collision.
