Oceanside, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S Near Cassidy, Injuries Reported
Oceanside, CA (April 4, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash caused delays and raised safety concerns on Interstate 5 South near Cassidy Street on Wednesday, April 3. The collision involved a black Toyota Camry and a gray Nissan Altima and prompted a response from fire and medical teams. The accident occurred during the afternoon hours, and according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), both vehicles ended up in the center divider. Emergency responders, including the Ncomm Fire Department and CHP Unit A92-003, were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters temporarily blocked the number 1 lane as they worked to assist those involved and injured in the crash. Angelos Towing was called in to assist with clearing the vehicles, and Caltrans confirmed visual contact with the crash from passing patrol units. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
