Orange County, CA (April 9, 2025) – Two people were reportedly injured in a crash involving a Toyota 4Runner and an Infiniti on the northbound lanes of I-5 at Tustin Ranch Road on Wednesday afternoon, April 9. The incident was reported to the California Highway Patrol around 1:39 p.m. and occurred in the HOV lane, temporarily blocking traffic as emergency personnel responded. Initial reports indicate that the vehicles collided during a lane merge, though an official cause has not been confirmed. Paramedics assessed both drivers, and one was transported to a local medical facility for further treatment. The other was treated on-site and later released. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported.
