Portland, OR – Fatal Pedestrian Crash on SB I-5 Near NE Marine Dr

Portland, OR (February 28, 2025) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash late Thursday night, February 27, on southbound Interstate 5 near NE Marine Drive, according to Portland Police. Officers responded to the scene around 10:39 p.m. and found a driver with injuries, while the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released details on the circumstances leading up to the crash. The road was closed for several hours overnight as police conducted their investigation. The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has since confirmed that all lanes have been reopened. The incident remains under investigation.
