Portland, OR – Pedestrian Injured in Crash on I-5 On-Ramp/MLK Jr. Pkwy
Portland, OR (October 29, 2025) – A serious crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred Wednesday morning, October 29, on the northbound I-5 on-ramp near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). The accident was reported at 10:48 a.m., and involved a Toyota Prius and an unidentified pedestrian.
Oregon State Police (OSP) and Portland Fire & Rescue responded quickly to the scene. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. The driver of the Prius remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities during the preliminary investigation. OSP has not yet released the identity of those involved or the circumstances that led to the collision.
Traffic on the ramp was temporarily shut down as investigators documented evidence and cleared the area.
