Portland, OR – Two-Vehicle Accident Causes Injuries on I-5 SB Near I-405 Off-Ramp

Portland, OR (November 1, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 southbound near the Interstate 405 off-ramp led to injuries in Portland on October 31. The incident occurred in the early evening hours, prompting Portland Police and Oregon State Troopers to respond to the scene. Initial reports indicate that the collision involved at least two vehicles, with one vehicle sustaining severe front-end damage. Emergency responders quickly assessed the condition of all individuals involved and provided medical aid to those with visible injuries. Some individuals required further treatment and were transported to local hospitals. Authorities closed part of the off-ramp for around 45 minutes to allow first responders to safely attend to the injured and remove damaged vehicles from the scene. The Portland Police Department is investigating the accident to determine what led to the collision.
