Pyramid Lake, CA – Semi-Truck and Sedan Wreck on I-5 Leaves Driver Hospitalized

Pyramid Lake, CA (January 26, 2025) – A serious collision involving a semi-truck and a sedan occurred on Sunday afternoon, January 26, on the northbound side of I-5 near the Vista Del Lago Exit, leaving one person injured. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash was reported around 1:30 p.m. When officers and the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived, they discovered the sedan wedged beneath the semi-truck, trapping the driver inside.

A heavy wrecker was brought in to separate the two vehicles and free the trapped individual. The extraction process required all northbound lanes to be temporarily shut down, but CHP officers managed to reopen them shortly after the driver was rescued. The driver of the sedan was transported to a nearby hospital. Their condition remains unknown at this time. Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
