Redding, CA – Injury Collision on I-5 Near Dog Creek Road Off-Ramp

Redding, CA (March 14, 2025) – A big rig collided head-on with another vehicle on Interstate 5 South near the Dog Creek Road off-ramp, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries and a fuel spill. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) responded to the scene, where the cab of the truck was partially dislodged from its frame. Emergency responders, including Cal Fire and Fish & Wildlife officials, were alerted due to a ruptured diesel tank that was leaking fuel. Fire crews worked to assess the environmental impact while Caltrans closed the affected for safety.  Investigations into the cause of the crash continue.
