Redding, CA – Injury Crash on NB I-5 Near Knighton Rd Off-Ramp

Redding, CA (February 28, 2025) – A collision involving a U-Haul truck, a sedan, and a big rig occurred Friday afternoon, February 28 on northbound Interstate 5 near the Knighton Road off-ramp. The crash was first reported at 4:45 p.m., involving a 15-foot U-Haul Super Mover and a silver sedan. The U-Haul came to a stop on the right-hand shoulder, while the sedan was positioned in the center divide. A big rig also pulled over at the scene. Emergency responders, including the Shasta Cal Fire Department and paramedics, arrived to assist those involved. Injuries were reported, but further details on the victims’ conditions have not been released. Authorities later requested Anderson Tow to remove the sedan from the roadway. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
