Redding, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N at East Escape Ramp Leaves Injuries

Redding, CA (March 10, 2025) – A high-speed collision involving a gray sedan and a big rig took place on northbound Interstate 5 at the East Escape Ramp on Sunday, March 9. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the gray four-door sedan was traveling at approximately 100 mph before crashing into the big rig. The impact left the sedan in the middle lane, blocking traffic, while the big rig stopped on the right-hand shoulder. Emergency responders arrived quickly, assessing injuries and working to clear the roadway. Traffic backups were reported as authorities managed the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
