Sacramento, CA – Bus and Vehicle Collision on I-5/ I-80 Int Injures Multiple 

Sacramento, CA (October 1, 2024) – A bus collision on southbound I-5 near the I-80 interchange in Sacramento resulted in injuries and significant traffic disruptions on Tuesday afternoon, October 1. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred at around 4:10 p.m. and involved a Yolo bus and another vehicle. Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene, and an ambulance was dispatched to treat those injured. At least one person was transported to a medical facility, but their condition remains unclear. Authorities worked to clear the scene. By 4:22 p.m., traffic was still affected, with Caltrans cameras showing the Yolo bus near the median divider. CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
