Sacramento, CA – Collision on I-5 N Injures Rider Near Twin Cities Rd.
Sacramento, CA (May 9, 2025) – Late Thursday night, May 8, a motorcycle and SUV were involved in a collision on the northbound side of Interstate 5, near the Twin Cities Road off-ramp in South Sacramento, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the crash scene around 11:37 p.m. According to initial reports, the crash occurred on the shoulder of the highway and involved a silver or black SUV and an unidentified motorcycle.
The exact sequence of events leading to the collision remains under investigation. The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, suffered injuries and received immediate medical care at the scene. Emergency personnel assessed the injuries and later transported the individual to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not been publicly disclosed. Authorities are working to determine whether hit-and-run charges may apply. Investigators continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
