Sacramento, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash with Injuries on NB I-5 Near Metro Air Pkwy
Sacramento, CA (February 19, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash with injuries occurred on northbound I-5 near Metro Air Parkway early Wednesday, February 19. The collision, reported at 12:50 a.m., involved a white semi-truck with a trailer and a white Ford Ranger. Upon arriving at the scene, California Highway Patrol (CHP) discovered that one of the drivers had fled after the crash. Authorities later found the fleeing driver hiding behind a pole nearby, observing the crash site. The semi-truck driver positively identified them, leading to their return to the scene for further investigation. Emergency responders treated the injured individual at the scene, though the severity of their injuries has not been disclosed. Tow services were called to remove the damaged truck, and CHP continued to investigate the circumstances of the crash, including potential charges against the fleeing driver.
