Sacramento, CA – Injury Crash Involving Big Rig on I-5 Near Richards Blvd

Sacramento, CA (February 26, 2025) – A collision involving a white big rig and a black Honda sedan occurred Wednesday afternoon, February 26 on southbound I- near the Richards Blvd on-ramp. The crash was first reported at 2:48 p.m., with both vehicles coming to a stop on the right-hand shoulder. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assist, confirming that injuries were reported in the incident. However, the severity of the injuries has not yet been disclosed. An investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP)  was initiated. By 3:20 p.m., the Freeway Service Patrol had closed the incident after assisting with clearing the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
