Sacramento, CA (February 27, 2025) – An accident occurred on February 27 on northbound I-5, just north of Del Paso Rd near the Highway 99 split. The crash was first reported at 1:26 a.m., with the vehicle blocking the right lane and debris scattered in the roadway. The driver, a female motorist, initially reported hitting another vehicle but later stated she struck a guardrail instead. Authorities located a second vehicle involved with an injured occupant. Emergency responders, including the fire department, were dispatched to the scene. Medical assistance was requested, and officials confirmed that there were sustained injuries. Additionally, reports indicate that the driver at fault may have been under the influence. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the crash and determining if impairment played a role.
