Sacramento, CA – Motorcyclist Injured in Truck Wreck on I-5 N Near Richards Blvd.

Sacramento, CA (April 23, 2025) – On the afternoon of April 23, a collision between a motorcycle and a truck on I-5 North near the Richards Boulevard off-ramp resulted in injuries and emergency medical response. According to the Sacramento Division of the CHP, the crash occurred around 3:24 p.m. when a northbound motorcycle collided with a commercial truck under unclear circumstances. Witnesses reported seeing the motorcyclist ejected from the vehicle and lying near the edge of the roadway. Emergency services from the Sacramento Fire Department arrived promptly at the scene and rendered immediate aid to the injured rider. The victim was later transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Officials confirmed the motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries but is expected to survive. Officers are actively investigating the cause of the collision.
