Sacramento, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 to Hwy 50 Con

Sacramento, CA (April 16, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash on the evening of April 15 claimed the life of a motorcyclist on the southbound I-5 connector to Highway 50 in Sacramento. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. At around 9:00 p.m., 50-year-old Shaun Sutterfield, the motorcyclist, was ejected from his bike and fell to the intersection of Front Street and Broadway, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and was reportedly unharmed. Authorities have not yet released the cause of the crash, and an investigation by CHP is ongoing to determine the series of events that led to the fatal incident.
