Sacramento, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-5 N ear Exit 518 Causes Injuries
Sacramento, CA (January 20, 2024) – On January 20th around 3:21 p.m., a multi-vehicle collision occurred on I-5 North near Exit 518 involving a white suburban, blue SUV, utility van, and an unidentified vehicle. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) promptly responded, reporting a three-vehicle accident with injuries. Both the white suburban and blue SUV had overturned, requiring tow trucks, with Eagle Towing assisting in the removal. Witnesses stated that the white SUV hydroplaned, initiating the collision and causing a four-vehicle pileup. The white suburban crossed lanes, colliding with the blue SUV, utility van, and an unknown white sedan before ending up in a ditch on the right-hand shoulder. Emergency services, including ambulances, were dispatched, transporting injured victims for treatment. However, identities remain undisclosed. The collision resulted in traffic disruptions, with vehicles moved to the right-hand shoulder and ditch, causing delays.
