Sacramento, CA – Serious Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 South near Co Rd 102 N On-ramp Leaves Driver Trapped and Paralyzed

Sacramento, CA (July 27, 2023) – On July 26th, at 5:53 PM, the Sacramento CHP responded to a serious traffic collision involving a black van and a black SUV on I-5 South near the County Rd 102 North on-ramp.

The black van veered off the roadway and ended up in a ditch, resulting in the driver being trapped inside. Making the situation more critical, the driver was previously paralyzed, necessitating assistance to be safely removed from the vehicle.

Responding to the situation, the CHP called for a tow truck from Citizen Towing, equipped with a 25ft cable, to aid in the recovery process. Meanwhile, the black SUV had also gone off the roadway and overturned into a field.

Emergency services attended to the injured victims. Due to the seriousness of the injuries sustained, the responders provided immediate medical attention. The exact number of people injured in the accident has not been disclosed yet, but the authorities are diligently investigating the incident.
