Sacramento, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/Richards Blvd Causes Injuries
Sacramento, CA (March 12, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision was reported on I-5 North, just south of Richards Boulevard, on the evening of Tuesday, March 12. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) dispatch reports, the crash occurred around 5:58 p.m. and involved a tan Infiniti SUV and a big white truck with a trailer attached. Both vehicles came to a stop on the right-hand shoulder, and no immediate hazards were observed. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. One passenger from the Infiniti SUV complained of pain, though the extent of the injuries remains unclear. Authorities are still determining whether any individuals required medical transportation. The incident caused extended traffic congestion in the northbound lanes as officials worked to clear the scene and investigate further. The CHP continues to examine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
