Salem, OR – Crash on I-5 Near Highway 22 Causes Injuries 

Salem, OR (May 7, 2025) – Injuries were reported following a traffic accident on the northbound lanes of I-5, three miles south of the Highway 22 interchange, during the late morning hours of Wednesday, May 7. According to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), the crash was reported at 9:49 a.m. and involved multiple vehicles. Emergency crews arrived promptly and provided medical evaluation on site. One individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local medical facility for further care. The number of vehicles involved has not been confirmed, but the crash significantly slowed traffic through the area for over an hour. Investigators from the Oregon State Police are working to determine the cause of the collision. No charges or citations have been issued at this time.
