San Diego, CA – Collision on I-5 Near Via De La Valle Leaves Driver Injured
San Diego, CA (April 11, 2025) – Late Friday night, April 11th, a two-vehicle collision on northbound I-5 just south of Via De La Valle resulted in at least one person sustaining injuries. California Highway Patrol units arrived at the scene shortly after 11:40 p.m., where a white car had reportedly collided with an unidentified vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest on the right-hand shoulder, though one was briefly blocking the number 3 lane before being moved. A black vehicle was also reported to be involved and was partially obstructing the number 4 lane upon officers’ arrival. One of the vehicles appeared to be abandoned at the scene, while the other remained occupied. CHP officers assessed the injured party on-site before arranging for a tow service to remove the vehicles. The extent of the injuries has not been publicly disclosed. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine what caused the crash.
