San Diego, CA – Crash on I-5 Involving Jeep and Mazda Sends One to Hospital
San Diego, CA (April 19, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash involving a white Jeep GCH and a gray Mazda sedan resulted in one person being transported to the hospital on Saturday evening, April 19, along northbound Interstate 5 near the transition to Highway 163. The collision was reported around 6:51 p.m., prompting a swift response from the California Highway Patrol and paramedics. First responders confirmed that one vehicle sustained major rear-end damage and was positioned near the GP 5/163 split, while the other came to a stop on the right-hand shoulder.
Medics assessed both drivers at the scene, and at least one individual was taken to a local medical facility for further treatment. The severity of the injuries was not immediately disclosed.
