San Diego, CA – Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near I-8

San Diego, CA (April 30, 2025) – Two people were injured following a multi-vehicle collision on I-5 North near the I-8 South overpass in San Diego around 10:52 a.m. on April 30. According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved four vehicles and occurred during mid-morning traffic. San Diego Police and emergency medical services responded promptly. One of the injured victims was transported by ambulance to a nearby trauma center for evaluation. Several other occupants involved in the crash were treated on-site for non-life-threatening injuries. The CHP is investigating to determine the cause and whether distracted driving or speeding contributed to the collision.
