San Diego, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-5 S/Imperial Ave. Leaves Injuries

San Diego, CA (March 15, 2025) – A major traffic collision involving at least four vehicles occurred late Saturday night, March 15, on Interstate 5 South near Imperial Avenue, causing injuries. The crash was reported around 11:00 PM, when an unknown vehicle crossed from the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes, colliding with multiple vehicles. Among the involved vehicles was a black SUV, which sustained extensive damage and overturned on its side.

Authorities confirmed that four teenagers were inside one of the vehicles. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and medical assistance was requested for injured parties. Tow trucks were called to remove damaged vehicles. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and emergency crews worked overnight to clear the roadway. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, and further details on the condition of those involved have not yet been released.
