San Diego, CA – Multi-Vehicle Wreck on I-5 N/Via De La Valle Leaves Injuries

San Diego, CA (October 29, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash involving a white Tesla and two other vehicles was reported on I-5 northbound just south of Via De La Valle on Wednesday morning, October 29, leaving several people with injuries. The accident occurred around 9:45 a.m., prompting a swift response from the California Highway Patrol and San Diego Fire-Rescue.

Witnesses reported that the Tesla collided with two unknown vehicles, causing one car to spin out and block the fast lane. Several occupants complained of neck and back pain, and paramedics transported at least two injured individuals to a nearby hospital for treatment. CHP officers temporarily closed part of the roadway to investigate and clear debris from the scene. Tow trucks later removed the vehicles, and lanes were reopened to traffic shortly after 11:00 a.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by CHP officials.
