San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Carmel Mountain Leaves Rider Injured
San Diego, CA (October 30, 2025) – A serious collision involving a black Honda Civic and an unidentified motorcycle occurred on I-5 northbound, just south of Carmel Mountain Road, on Thursday evening, October 30. According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, the crash took place around 5:10 p.m., prompting an emergency response that included an ambulance dispatched to the scene. Witnesses reported significant damage to both the motorcycle and the car, with debris scattered across multiple lanes.
Paramedics arrived quickly and treated the motorcyclist, who sustained moderate injuries, before transporting the rider to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation. The driver of the Honda Civic was assessed on-site for non-life-threatening injuries. Traffic was temporarily slowed as authorities documented the scene and cleared the wreckage. The CHP is actively investigating the events that led to the collision.
