San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Southbay Leaves Occupants Injured

San Diego, CA (April 7, 2025) – A crash involving a black Hyundai Elantra and a white Lincoln MKX occurred early April 7 on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5, just north of E Street near the Southbay area, resulting in injuries. The incident was reported around 12:48 a.m.  According to initial reports, one of the vehicles may have veered into the other’s lane, leading to the collision. First responders assessed the victims on-site, and one person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The CHP has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident and is urging witnesses to come forward with any relevant information.
