San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash w/ Injuries on I-5 N at Clairemont Dr
San Diego, CA (April 8, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident involving two black sedans caused injuries late Monday night, April 7, on northbound Interstate 5 near the Clairemont Drive and Mission Bay off-ramp. The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene at approximately 11:08 p.m. after receiving a crash notification from an onboard vehicle alert system. When officers arrived, they found both vehicles positioned in the slow lane with airbags deployed, indicating a forceful impact. Due to the severity of the crash, paramedics were dispatched and provided emergency care. At least one person sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The extent of the injuries has not been officially released. Tow trucks arrived shortly afterward to clear the damaged vehicles, both of which were reported as traffic hazards. CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
