Santa Ana, CA – Bus-Sedan Injury Crash on I-5 N/State College Blvd

Santa Ana, CA (April 16, 2025) – A collision involving a white sedan and an OCTA public bus occurred on the northbound side of I-5 near the State College Boulevard off-ramp in Santa Ana on April 16th, leaving one person injured. According to the California Highway Patrol, officers arrived at the scene around 1:48 p.m. While it is unclear how many individuals were on board the OCTA bus at the time, at least one person, believed to be in the sedan, was injured. Emergency responders from Orange County Fire Authority provided on-site medical care before transferring the victim to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The extent of the injuries has not been officially disclosed, but no fatalities were reported. Authorities cleared the vehicles and conducted their investigation. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is assisting CHP in reviewing the cause of the crash.
