Santa Ana, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash with Injuries on I-5 N Near 17th St.

Santa Ana, CA (October 28, 2025) – A hit-and-run collision on Interstate 5 northbound near 17th Street left at least one person injured on Tuesday, October 28. The crash, which blocked the number one lane, involved multiple vehicles, one of which fled the scene before officers arrived.

The California Highway Patrol reported that emergency crews assisted one injured motorist at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital for further evaluation. Authorities have not yet released details about the suspect vehicle, but are reviewing traffic camera footage and witness statements to aid in the investigation.
