Santa Ana, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash with Injuries on NB I-5 Near SR-55

Santa Ana, CA (February 22, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash with injuries occurred on northbound Interstate 5 just north of SR-55 on Friday evening, February 21, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP). Officers attempted to track the suspect vehicle, which was observed moving through multiple lanes of traffic at speeds of 55-65 mph. After a pursuit that involved CMSA Police and CHP units, the suspect vehicle was eventually stopped, and at least one passenger was detained.

Reports indicated that a female occupant remained in the vehicle, but additional details on her condition have not been released. Emergency responders provided medical assistance to those injured, but officials have not disclosed the severity of the injuries or the number of people affected.
