Santa Ana, CA – Motorcycle Rider Injured in Collision on I-5 N at Culver Drive
Santa Ana, CA (April 22, 2025) – A motorcycle accident on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 at Culver Drive in Santa Ana left the rider with injuries on April 21. According to Orange County officials, the crash involved a white four-door sedan and a motorcycle. The accident occurred near the center divide shortly before noon. Witnesses reported that the motorcyclist was struck during a lane merge attempt, causing the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency personnel from the Orange County CHP and local fire units responded quickly to the scene.
The injured motorcyclist was conscious but appeared to have sustained serious leg and shoulder injuries. He was stabilized on-site before being transported to a nearby trauma center for further care. The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. Officers are currently investigating the cause of the crash and whether any traffic violations or driver distractions played a role.
