Santa Ana, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-5 N at I-405 Leaves Injuries

Santa Ana, CA (April 17, 2025) – On the afternoon of April 16th, a multi-vehicle accident occurred on the northbound lanes of I-5 near the junction with I-405 in Santa Ana, resulting in possible injuries. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers responded to the scene around 2:06 p.m. after receiving reports of a black sedan, a white truck, and a gray SUV involved in a collision.   Although the exact number of people injured has not been confirmed, authorities indicated that at least one individual was being evaluated at the scene for injuries. Paramedics conducted on-site assessments, and it remains unclear whether anyone was transported to a medical facility.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by CHP.
