Santa Ana, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/1st St Causes Injuries
Santa Ana, CA (November 13, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on I-5 northbound near the 1st Street exit left several people injured on Wednesday, November 12. Reports from the Orange County Communications Center indicated that two vehicles were primarily involved, including a blue Hyundai sedan and a second, unidentified vehicle. A third vehicle was later confirmed to have been struck during the chain reaction.
The California Highway Patrol and local fire crews responded, with firefighters blocking the offramp to protect paramedics working on-site. One occupant suffered a medical seizure following the impact and received urgent attention from first responders before being transported to a nearby hospital. The remaining victims were treated for moderate injuries at the scene.
Tow trucks were dispatched and arrived within minutes to help clear the damaged vehicles from the right shoulder and gore point. CHP continues to investigate factors leading up to the crash.
