Santa Ana, CA – Multiple Injuries Reported in Three-Car Pileup on I-5/4th St
Santa Ana, CA (April 13, 2025) – On the afternoon of April 12, a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 north near 4th Street in Santa Ana left several people injured. The California Highway Patrol reported that a gray Honda Civic, a black sedan, and a gray four-door vehicle were involved in the crash, which blocked multiple middle lanes during peak afternoon traffic. One of the vehicles was reported smoking shortly after the impact, raising concerns of a possible fire.
Emergency responders from Santa Ana Fire Station 91 and CHP units arrived quickly and began tending to the scene. One person suffered injuries and was evaluated by paramedics before being taken to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment. CHP units called for multiple tow trucks due to the severe damage sustained by the vehicles, including a blue Mazda with front-end damage and a gray sedan that had to be hauled away. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
