Santa Ana, CA – Two-Car Collision on I-5 S SR-22, Injuries Reported
Santa Ana, CA (January 1, 2024) – A collision between a gray Toyota 4 Runner and a Grail occurred on I-5 S SR-22 in Santa Ana on January 1st, at around 12:59 p.m., prompting a quick response from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Upon arrival, CHP determined it was a two-vehicle accident with injuries. CHP reported one victim was airlifted to the University of California, Irvine (UCI) for an unspecified medical issue, and a white Camry was towed by Johns Tow. Emergency services from Station 91 were on site, noting a white sedan in the center divider possibly with entrapment. The gray Toyota 4 Runner collided with a white Lexus, both ending up on the right shoulder. Despite a brief overturn, the 4 Runner landed upright. Johns Tow played an active role, towing the overturned Toyota 4 Runner from the scene.
