Santa Ana, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Near Broadway Leaves One Injured

Santa Ana, CA (May 1, 2025) – On the evening of April 30th, a collision involving two vehicles occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Broadway exit in Santa Ana, resulting in at least one injury. The crash, which happened around 7:37 p.m., involved a black Toyota SUV and a silver vehicle. Both vehicles were moved to the right-hand shoulder of the freeway by the time California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers arrived on the scene. According to CHP reports, one party had already contacted a tow service before officers’ arrival. First responders provided immediate medical assistance to the injured party at the scene. It remains unclear whether hospital transport was required. The Freeway Service Patrol briefly managed the scene before handing it over to CHP units. At this time, the exact cause of the crash is unknown, but an investigation is ongoing.
