Santa Ana, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/SR-55 Leaves Several Injured
Santa Ana, CA (October 30, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on I-5 southbound near the SR-55 interchange left multiple people injured late Thursday morning. Reports from the California Highway Patrol indicate that the crash involved a silver Toyota sedan and a black pickup truck. The vehicles collided in the middle lanes, causing one to spin out and strike the center divider.
Emergency medical teams and the Santa Ana Police Department arrived promptly, assessing several individuals for injuries. Two people sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The remaining occupants were treated at the scene.
The collision caused temporary traffic congestion as authorities cleared the vehicles and reopened lanes. CHP officers are continuing to investigate what may have led to the crash, including potential driver distraction or unsafe merging.
