Santa Fe Springs, CA – Injury Hit-and-Run Crash on I-5 S at Paramount Blvd.
Santa Fe Springs, CA (May 5, 2025) – A hit-and-run incident late Sunday night, May 4, on Interstate 5 South at the Paramount Boulevard off-ramp left at least one person injured. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the crash shortly after 9:30 p.m. on May 4th. A gray SUV was discovered disabled and partially over the fog line on the right shoulder of the highway. Reports indicate that the vehicle had been struck and abandoned by the suspect driver, who fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Downey Police Department and CHP units worked together to secure the crash site and assist the injured occupant. The victim, whose vehicle sustained considerable damage, was unable to move the SUV after the impact. Emergency responders evaluated the injured party on-site and transported them to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. A tow truck was called to remove the disabled SUV from the shoulder. Officers are actively investigating the crash and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
