SeaTac, WA – Suspected DUI Crash on I-5 near S 188th St Injures Three 

SeaTac, WA (March 29, 2025) – An early morning crash, on March 29, involving four vehicles on northbound I-5 near South 188th Street resulted in multiple injuries and the arrest of an 18-year-old driver on suspicion of DUI and vehicular assault. SeaTac, WA – Suspected DUI Crash on I-5 near S 188th St.,  Injures Three  The Washington State Patrol (WSP) reported that the crash took place around 2:49 a.m. when the suspected impaired driver struck another vehicle traveling in the same direction. The impact caused the second vehicle to crash into a metal road sign before being hit by a third vehicle in an adjacent lane. A fourth vehicle also collided with the second car in the aftermath. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided medical attention to those injured. One driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment, while two others received on-site medical evaluations before being released. The fourth driver was uninjured. Authorities closed multiple lanes for several hours as they investigated the scene and worked to clear the wreckage. The suspected DUI driver, a Renton resident, was taken into custody and is expected to be booked into King County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
