Seattle, WA – Hit-and-Run Crash with Injuries on SB I-5 Near I-90 Exit
Seattle, WA (February 20, 2025) – A fiery hit-and-run crash occurred on southbound I-5 collector-distributor lanes near the I-90 exit on Thursday afternoon, February 20.
According to Washington State Patrol (WSP), a Chrysler traveling at high speed rear-ended another vehicle, triggering a crash. The impact caused a fire in the Chrysler, which ignited ammunition inside the vehicle, creating additional hazards for responders and motorists nearby.
Two individuals inside the Chrysler fled the scene on foot before law enforcement arrived, and authorities were unable to locate them.
Reports confirm that injuries were sustained, but officials have not disclosed the number of people hurt or whether they were transported to a hospital.
Investigators treated the case as a hit-and-run, and further details will be released as the investigation continues.
