Seattle, WA – Speeding Driver Causes Collision on NB I-5 Near Georgetown
Seattle, WA (March 6, 2023) – On March 3rd, at about 4:47 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on northbound I-5 near Georgetown in Seattle, resulting in injuries.
According to the Washington State Patrol the first car, a 2019 utility driven by a 19-year-old man, was overspeeding, going straight ahead on the freeway. As a result, he crashed into the rear end of the second car, a 2016 utility vehicle, which was stopping for traffic. The impact caused the airbags of the first car to deploy, and the driver sustained injuries.
The 28-year-old male driver, on the other hand, was wearing a lap and shoulder restraint and did not sustain any injuries from the collision.
The first driver was attended to by the emergency responders on the scene, before receiving a citation for speeding too fast for the conditions
