Seattle, WA – Wrong-Way Driver Causes Injuries on I-5 Crash north of Columbian Way
Seattle, WA (January 4, 2024) – On January 4th, a serious accident occurred on I-5, resulting in injuries to two individuals. The incident occurred just before 12:30 a.m. on I-5 north of Columbian Way. According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), a 27-year-old woman was driving southbound in the northbound lanes when her vehicle collided head-on with a northbound vehicle. Both vehicles came to a halt in the fifth lane of I-5 near Columbian Way. The driver and passenger in the northbound vehicle sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. Presently, the conditions of the injured individuals remain unknown. The wrong-way driver, responsible for the collision, also suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital. Authorities have indicated that she may face charges of vehicular assault and potential driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, as per the WSP.
